Product Overview – ASTM A213 TP304L Seamless Tubes
ASTM A213 TP304L is the low carbon version of 304 stainless steel specified for seamless boiler and
heat exchanger tubes. The reduced carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding and
high temperature exposure.
TP304L seamless tubes are produced through hot finished or cold drawn processes without welding,
ensuring uniform wall thickness, superior pressure handling, and smooth internal surfaces for
efficient heat transfer.
This grade is widely used in thermal power plants, petrochemical industries, chemical processing
units, and fabrication-intensive boiler systems.
Compared to TP304, TP304L offers improved resistance to intergranular corrosion in welded
assemblies.
