Product Overview – ASTM A312 TP317 Welded Pipes
ASTM A312 TP317 is an austenitic stainless steel grade containing higher molybdenum content than 316. This improves resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chemical attack.
TP317 welded pipes are manufactured using strip forming and longitudinal welding processes, followed by solution annealing and inspection in accordance with ASTM A312 standards.
This grade is widely used in chemical processing plants, pulp and paper industries, and systems handling aggressive acids.
Compared to 316, TP317 offers improved corrosion resistance in highly acidic environments.
