Hastelloy X Tubes, are premium nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy tubes designed for exceptional performance in high-temperature and oxidizing environments. Designated as UNS N06002, Hastelloy X combines excellent oxidation resistance, outstanding high-temperature strength, superior thermal stability, and good fabrication characteristics, making it one of the most widely used nickel alloys for elevated temperature service.
Unlike corrosion-focused Hastelloy C-series alloys, Hastelloy X is specifically engineered to withstand prolonged exposure to temperatures up to approximately 1200°C (2200°F) while maintaining excellent mechanical properties and resistance to oxidation and carburization. The alloy also offers excellent resistance to thermal fatigue and stress rupture under continuous heating conditions.
