Hastelloy B2 Tubes, are high-performance nickel-molybdenum alloy tubes developed for exceptional resistance to strong reducing environments particularly hydrochloric acid across a wide range of concentrations and temperatures. Designated as UNS N10665, Hastelloy B2 offers excellent protection against sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and other non-oxidizing chemicals while maintaining good mechanical strength and fabrication characteristics.
The alloy contains a high percentage of molybdenum with very low carbon and silicon content, significantly reducing carbide precipitation during welding and improving resistance to heat-affected zone corrosion. Hastelloy B2 is especially suitable for applications where reducing acids are present and oxidizing contaminants are minimal.
