Product Overview – ASTM A312 TP316 Welded Pipes
ASTM A312 TP316 is an improved version of 304 stainless steel with added molybdenum. This addition significantly enhances resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments.
TP316 welded pipes are manufactured through precision strip forming and longitudinal welding, followed by solution annealing and testing as per ASTM A312 standards.
These pipes are widely used in marine environments, chemical plants, pharmaceutical units, and water treatment facilities where corrosion resistance is critical.
Compared to 304 welded pipes, 316 offers improved durability in coastal and chemical exposure conditions.
