Product Overview – ASTM A312 TP317L Seamless Pipes
ASTM A312 TP317L is the low carbon version of SS 317 stainless steel. It contains higher molybdenum content (3–4%) compared to 316L, offering enhanced resistance to chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion.
The reduced carbon content (maximum 0.03%) improves resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding, making SS 317L seamless pipes ideal for fabrication-heavy industrial projects.
This grade is widely used in chemical processing, fertilizer plants, pollution control systems, and marine environments where corrosion resistance is critical.
