ASTM A312 TP316L Welded Stainless Steel Pipes for Marine & Chemical Applications

TP316L welded stainless steel pipes are low carbon, molybdenum-bearing pipes designed for superior corrosion resistance and improved weld integrity in aggressive environments.

Product Overview – ASTM A312 TP316L Welded Pipes

ASTM A312 TP316L is the low carbon version of 316 stainless steel. The reduced carbon content (maximum 0.03%) minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion.
TP316L welded pipes are manufactured through precision forming and longitudinal welding, followed by solution annealing and inspection in accordance with ASTM standards.

This grade is widely selected for marine installations, pharmaceutical plants, chemical processing units, and fabricated structures exposed to chloride-rich conditions.
Compared to standard 316, 316L offers improved reliability in welded assemblies.
